Today we're talking about one of my favorite topics: the power and importance of finding deep and meaningful connection. Even amongst our peers, families and colleagues, many people are feeling disconnected, unheard, lonely and separate, and the conditions of the pandemic has only made that worse. This conversation is to help each of us to feel seen, heard and validated by our interactions with the world.
Authors Edward (Ted) Brodkin, MD (psychiatrist and medical doctor) and Ashley Pallathra, M.A. and current PhD candidate bring their wisdom of connection in their new book, Missing Each Other (link below).
We discuss how mental health is effected through disconnection and connection, and the quality of our relationships, as well as some of their specific steps to find more meaningful connection, starting with attunement.
Whether you're an introvert, extrovert, in relationship or not, self-employed or unemployed, this conversation and their work can be very important for the purpose of healing.
