Today our conversation will focus on saving money with 3 alternative gift-giving ideas to use with your family and friends.  

Now for the record, I’ve tried each of these options so you're getting my certified choices.  Me being your certified money girl, I have to let ya’ll in on the tea, so ya’ll save some money too. 

Alright, so here are the 3 alternatives to giving all your friends and family separate gifts.   

First Alternative - Host a Secret Santa Gift Exchange 

• Determine how many people will be included in your gift exchange
• Set a gift limit (Remember to stay within that limit, this is not the time to show off…LOL)
• Use a gift exchange website to assist with assigning Secret Santa and gift ideas.  Websites include:  Elfster, Sneaky Santa, Draw Names 

Second Alternative  - Host a White Elephant Gift Exchange

• Set a gift limit and stay within that limit
• Each person must bring a wrapped gift

Third Alternative  - Host a Right Left Gift Exchange 

• Establish how many gifts will be given out during the game
• Remember this game can be done for adults or kids too and you can either use gifts or money to pass around during the game 
• You can either print out a Right -Left story online (Google) or make up your own story, but just make sure you have the words left and right in there enough times.
