Most of us believe that our emotional wellbeing depends on what others around us say and do. We believe that our happiness is conditional on them saying or doing certain things.
Is it possible that our wellbeing, that the feelings we have depend on other people's behaviour? Is it true that those in our life 'control' us like a thermostat, setting our emotional temperature to whatever they like, simply by being a certain way? Can they 'make us' happy, sad, frustrated, angry?
