Dr. LaKisha James is the Founder & CEO of Designer Events by LaKisha and Talks with LaKisha. Also known as #thelakishabrand. She is a corporate event planner and set designer for films and plays. She is the Host of Talks with LaKisha show. Dr. LaKisha is an international bestselling author, mentor, global speaker, National Event Planner for the Black MasterMind Group. She is the former Editor for Real Women Atlanta Magazine, the former Atlanta Chapter Leader for World Women Conference & Awards, and former Executive Director for Times of Expression & Refreshing Ministries. The recipient of the 2019 CEO on the Rise Award for Who’s Who of Urban CEO’s and the 2021 Global Leadership award for World Women V.I.S.I.O.N. She was inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who in America in 2021 and featured in Whos’ Who of Professional Women publication for 2022. Dr. LaKisha was awarded an honorary doctorate in Philosophy with a specialization in Humanitarianism and Conflict Risk in 2021. She was named the Official Master of Ceremonies for Life Service Center of America and was appointed a Global Ambassador for Afro International Film Market & Festival in 2022.

What problems can you assist someone resolve through what you do? I take pride in sharing my expertise to anyone who has come to a pause in their career or that is ready to start their own business. I am deeply passionate about informing others of their abilities and assisting them to embark on the journey that was created for them. My passion is to empower, educate, and inspire others.
