Synchronicity - Intuition Tapping Into Collective Consciousness

I get messages all the time saying, "Oh, that video you did, I was just thinking about the same thing yesterday," or "Oh, that blog post you wrote, I was just chatting about it with a friend a couple of days ago." Why does this happen? Are we just robots programmed to think the same thing? Or is it deeper than that? Is it because of our connection to the collective consciousness?
