Welcome to the Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Spotlight Series Podcast. In this episode, Jeff sits down with Cal Armstrong to discuss how his school district is using Office 365 to provide dynamic and collaborative professional development.
Cal Armstrong is a mathematics educator and the Director of Teaching and Technology Innovation at Appleby College, a grade 7-12 coed boarding school outside of Toronto, and a Teacher Leadership Program coach at the Institute for Advanced Study’s summer Mathematics program. While developing the progenitor of the OneNote ClassNotebook is likely his more notable accomplishment with Microsoft, he has been integrating technology, from the earliest graphing calculators to the latest in pen-based tablets and cloud services, with deliberation and reflection for more 20 years. He is a devout pragmatist and critically eyes technology with the lens of researched-based pedagogies. Outside of the classroom, he is an Auxiliary Police Constable.
The MIE Spotlight Series is a co-branded educational podcast produced in collaboration between the TeacherCast Educational Broadcasting Network and Microsoft Education.
