This practical and inspiring workshop is for disabled artists who already work with film/video and emerging disabled filmmakers who want to explore and extend their work in these media. John Williams is a writer/director with over 10 years experience. His films combine live action, animation and visual effects, engagingly dealing with highly sensitive subjects, including mental health (‘Robots’), young children dealing with the death of a friend (‘Hibernation’) and a child’s complex feelings towards his robotic dialysis machine (‘Paraphernalia’). British Sign Language interpretation or other support will be offered. MacmillianFest 2012 IKE Productions will be hosting another festival for the benefit of Macmillan Cancer Support and the local and national music scene this year on Saturday the 1st September.  An 850 capacity event, taking place at The Rescue Rooms, Stealth and Red Rooms, Nottingham. There will be food stalls, group head shaves and a raffle going on to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The line up consists of: Rescue Rooms: Artifex Studios Stage Earthtone9, Spirytus, Destroyer BC, Violet, RSJ, Lakes, Deliver Us To Evil,Armed For A Crisis, The Repent Stealth: NCN Stage Sinners Highway, Skarlett Riot, Bury The Lady Bird, A Thousand Enemies, Mother Load, Patriot Rebel, BOTB, Broken City Saints RedRooms: Nottingham Live Stage Dave Mcpherson (Acoustic), Paper Cape, Fields, Goodnight Astronaut(Acoustic), Ricky C, Gus Harris (Acoustic), Botb winner, Heavy Heads(Acoustic) Since 2009, IKE Productions has been raising money for Macmillan in the form of Macmillan Fest.  Each year, the festival has grown in attendance and support. Nearly £2,500 has been raised so far and we intend to raise more this year!
