On this episode of The Mess We're In I talk to Jennifer Cox, acclaimed author of 'Women Are Angry' The Times and Sunday Times Best Self-Help Book of the Year.

Jen is also a UK psychotherapist, co - host of the hit, global, Women are Mad' Podcast and is the go-to voice on mental health and feminism.

Instagram can be a positive portal of connection when it facilitates meetings such as mine with Jen. I came across her page and was simply in awe of her unashamed, expressive, opinionated sharing. Her book is an essential for women everywhere - and men should give it a read also to be honest. Really grateful for the opportunity to chat to her in this forum!

It would mean so much if you enjoy this episode if you hit FOLLOW / SUBSCRIBE for a regular dose of messy chats.

Holding conversations that highlight how inherently messy we are as humans, can hopefully alleviate some of that pressure we put on ourselves to have it all 'sorted', both in our physical and mental spaces.

We all had to learn 'order' and subsequently, must discern how and when to let go of it.

On this show, we put mess in perspective: it's the process of trying, failing, changing and evolving.

  • Is some art just a complete mess ?
  • Do you need to be tidy and organised to be 'successful'?
  • What is the messiest food to eat and what music is deemed 'messy', but do we still love it?!!
  • Is 'mess' a negative word?

These questions and more, are addressed throughout the series.

You can also connect with me on the 'The Mess We're In' podcast page I'd love to hear from you.

Both life and the mind can be very messy, which doesn't mean you're doing anything 'wrong', in my opinion.
