In this episode, I express my excitement about restarting the 75 Hard challenge, a 75-day program that focuses on both physical and mental transformation. The challenge entails two daily workouts, progress pictures, reading 10 pages of a self-development book, consuming a gallon of water, and adhering to a specific diet with no cheat meals or alcohol. According to its creator, Andy Frisella, the primary goal is to build skills like determination, self-esteem, confidence, and discipline, transcending physical changes.
I share my personal motivation for taking on 75 Hard again, driven by a desire for routine and structure in my life. Previous attempts were hindered by challenges, especially related to food. Reflecting on my journey, I highlight a positive transformation in my relationship with food. I've reached a point where I can sit in a cafe, watch others eat, and not succumb to overeating—an accomplishment I attribute to my improved mindset.
Despite initial success, I recount a recent setback during a weekend where I fell asleep before completing the required reading. Instead of dwelling on it negatively, I showcase my positive response and commitment to self-integrity. I share observations about coasting through the initial weeks and the empowerment gained. Although feeling fulfilled, I appreciate the ongoing challenge for its learning opportunities and personal growth.
The key takeaway centers on the importance of becoming unstoppable in life by consistently following through on commitments. Learning to rely on oneself without question is emphasized. As an invitation to listeners, I encourage them to follow my journey on Instagram (@megancoleman____) during the second round of 75 Hard. I wish everyone success in their 2024 goals and express gratitude and love for the audience. Signing off, I look forward to reconnecting with listeners in the next episode.
