Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, accounting for about 1 in 4 fatalities each year. This sobering statistic has remained largely unchanged for decades within populations of color, particularly for Black Americans. To help uncover how we’ve arrived at this point and where to go from here, the Medical Alley Association has partnered with the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) and the Preventative Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) to start thought-provoking conversations and, ultimately, meaningful change in healthcare. In the third and final installment of this series, we feature thought leaders in the cardiovascular space as they share their strategies to work towards the elimination of health inequities, including tested community approaches and policy solutions. This replay of our webinar features opening remarks from U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal (D-MA), Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee. Our panel of guests includes:-Paige Bingham, Director, Close The Gap at Boston Scientific-Icilma V. Fergus, MD, FACC, Director of Cardiovascular Disparities and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Mount Sinai-Karen Larimer PhD, ACNP-BC, FAHA, Director, Clinical Development at physIQ-Dr. Kevin Sneed, Senior Associate Vice President; Dean and Professor at USF
