Kids and young adults grow up faster and faster at the moment. For some in the UK, their life choices or circumstances effectively make them the so called ‘man’ of the house from an early age, providing for the mother of their babies, a parent, a sibling…. 

It all puts huge pressure on the male mindset. In this eye opening episode, we catch up with investigative journalist, presenter and filmmaker Livvy Haydock, who’s recent series ‘Festival Drugs: Meet the Dealers’ has received plaudits on BBC Three. 

Recorded on location at Livvy’s house, they talk what it means for young men who get sucked into dealing and providing early on, to earn enough money to survive. They look at the trappings young men fall for, why they get involved in illegal activity, and discuss what can be done to solve the issues in poverty stricken areas of Britain.
