Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)

The 3rd film in this franchise was once again directed by Jeff Fowler and sees James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore & Jim Carrey all return to their respective roles as well as Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey & Idris Elba return to their voice over character. Joining the cast is Krysten Ritter & Keanu Reeves, voicing the character of “Shadow”, the film’s new antagonist. In this film, Sonic and his team must face a new threat that was locked away during an underground secret military operation. Shadow has awakened and seeks revenge on those who took away his family. This film marks the third film in a rapidly growing franchise. The film hit theaters on December 20, 2024. A week before this film hit theaters, a 4th film has been announced, gone into production and plans to be released in 2027.
