Captain America: Brave New World (2025)

This film is directed by Julius Onah, is the 4th film in the “Captain America” series, the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is a continuation of the Disney+ series, “The Falcon & Winter Soldier”. Anthony Mackie returns as the titular character and is joined by Shira Haas, Xosha Roquenmore & Giancarlo Esposito. Returning are Danny Ramirez & Carl Lumbly reprising their previous roles. Also joining the cast is Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a character that was originally played by William Hurt before his tragic passing in 2022. In this film, Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, is tasked to stop a new threat who has a plan to bring down the US Government but it becomes more complicated when President Ross and his administration are compromised & then targeted. William Hurt played “Ross” in 3 previous MCU films before his sudden passing. Marvel originally decided to scrap the character for the film but due to Harrison Ford wanting to join, Kevin Feige and Marvel agreed. The film hit theaters on February 14th, 2025.
