My Start in Local Government

When it came to "policy", my social work education focused primarily on social policy history and social policy analysis, primarily at the federal level. How did I get involved in local government? In this episode, I will share the story of how I developed my interest in local government and running for office, and why I believe that we social workers should be actively engaged in local government.
