Dr. Manalo interviews Sabrina Gillan, MSW, a strategic social justice advocate who specializes in policies that alleviate human suffering. She currently serves as the Chief Strategic Partnership Officer for Brilliant Corners, a supportive housing agency focusing on Californians exiting institutionalization or chronic homelessness. In this role she is responsible for fund development, government affairs, and key stakeholder partnerships.
Previously, Sabrina enjoyed a twelve year career with The Salvation Army, where her early direct practice experience informed her policy advocacy and leadership work.
Sabrina received her Masters of Social Work with a concentration in social change from George Mason University. She sits on The Special Commission to Advance Macro Practice in Social Work, and has co-authored an entry on “Lobbying” in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Social Work as well as the updated entry in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Macro Social Work.
