Growing up as an Argentinian immigrant in Australia, Hector experienced the trials and tribulations of what it was to be a foreigner in a xenophobic land that (in the 70’s and largely still is) was hostile to anyone who dare enter from elsewhere.

This unfiltered introduction into life as a ‘third culture kid’ not only toughened him up mentally, but also infused in him a discernment born out of what he calls Aussie cynicism, while holding on to the passion and wonder of his original Latin American culture.
