Avatar, Netflix, And The Problem Of Adaptation

You might be aware of the recent developments surrounding the Netflix, live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Fans are mad and rightfully so. In this video, I break down why I don't think this adaptation will work or be any good at all, as well as the general perils of attempting something like this. Aang and the gang are too dear to my heart to see Netflix butcher this. We've seen it happen to Star Wars, I don't want it again. I don't want to see new actors portray beloved animated characters like Sokka, Toph, or Katara.
