This month, Jen and Martinique talk to Kimberly Shotick, the Assistant Dean for User Services and Outreach at the Paul V. Galvin Library at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Kimberly has a lot of experience in the areas of accessibility and universal design for learning, and she shares some of what she’s learned. She talks about the difference between accommodation and universal design, strategies for ensuring you are providing everyone with the chance to learn in your library instruction, how to make your LibGuides accessible, and how libraries can better support all students through thoughtful design.
