Enneagram Type 7 with Sarah McQuown

We have another visit with our hospitality expert, Sarah McQuown.  Beth McCord names the Type 7 "The Entertaining Optimist", and we couldn't imagine a better suited guest to give us a glimpse into this joyful number. Sarah shares so well about what gives the unique flavor to this Enneagram type.

Tips from Sarah (Type 7): Learning at an early age that people prefer to be around fun, happy people can contribute to a 7 perfecting that outlook and having some difficulty expressing or handling more negative emotions.
Major Quotes: I learned at an early age how to please people. I knew that putting on a smile, being cheerful, being kind, being happy was pleasing to people. When I was going through hard times, it wasn’t as easy for people to be around me.
How to show love to 7s: Be willing to do a fun activity with a 7 that enjoy doing. Be a cheerleader to a 7, in much the same way they are to others. Don’t just shoot down a plan, but instead encourage them to write it down and see how they might practically implement it. Really listen to a Type 7.
