Insurrection, Sedition but Reason for Hope

Today has been a dark day in the history of our nation as the effort by Donald Trump to hang on to the presidency turned into violence, at least one death, and disruption of a constitutionally required joint session of Congress.

Many people must share the blame for this tragedy – Trump, for inciting an insurrection and Congresspeople and Senators for aiding and abetting him by going on with his effort to overturn the election.

It was a tragedy of historic proportions, but there is the hope that the new administration brings, bolstered now with a fully Democratic Congress.
