💭 What is your leadership superpower?

Jay Weiser is the principal and founder of Jay Weiser Consulting where he dedicates his work to enabling leaders to thrive in times of uncertainty. His decades of experience working with multiple companies, both large and small scale who are caught blindsided by disruption, led him to develop his framework, The Five Leadership Superpowers.  

In this episode, Jay Weiser shares how the superpowers look at 5 distinct tensions that are seemingly paradoxical to each one:

1. Being a present future. Create a better understanding of the present more robustly, and think about the future so you can make informed decisions both short term and long term.
2. Experience and Learning. Be open to challenging your own assumptions, and stay curious.
3. Prepared Risk Takers. Defense doesn’t score points, offense does. Take calculated risks. 
4. Strategic Executor. Balance strategy and operations. While the world won’t stop spinning despite uncertainty, the decisions you make now have an impact in the future.
5. Accountable Collaborator. Strategy works in collaboration with multiple departments, partners, and stakeholders, but at the same time needs accountability to focus on outcomes.
