We are thrilled to welcome our first guest, Riverside County District Attorney Michael A. Hestrin to the podcast. 

DA Hestrin has a bachelor’s degree in history received his Juris Doctorate in Law and a master’s degree in Latin American studies from Stanford University. Since then, he has served almost 25 years as a line prosecutor in the Riverside County DA’s Office. 

He was named Riverside County Prosecutor of the year in 2003, 2005, and 2010. Also in 2010, the California District Attorneys Association recognized him as California’s Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year. And a year earlier, the California District Attorney Investigators Association honored him as the Statewide Prosecutor of the Year.

This was all before he was elected by the citizens of Riverside County as Riverside County District Attorney in 2014 a position he holds today.
