Devotional Message:
Scripture: “But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour.” – Matthew 9:22 (NKJV)
The woman in Matthew 9 had suffered for twelve long years. Doctors could not help her, money could not buy her healing, and society had cast her aside. Yet, she carried within her a faith that refused to give up. She said within herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” She didn’t just hope—she acted on her faith.
When Jesus saw her, He didn’t say, “My power healed you.” Instead, He said, “Your faith has made you well.” This was not because His power was lacking, but because it was her faith that unlocked His power in her life. Healing—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—often begins with an unshakable trust that God is willing and able to restore you.
Your situation today might not be about a physical illness. You may be battling fear, guilt, grief, or brokenness. The same Jesus who healed that woman is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. Faith is the bridge that connects your need to God’s power. When you believe Him enough to reach out—despite your pain, shame, or fear—you position yourself for a miracle.
Reflection: Are you holding back from trusting God completely for your healing? What “step” of faith can you take today to reach out to Him?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe You are my Healer. Help me push past every doubt and fear, and give me the boldness to reach out in faith. I receive Your healing power over my life today. Amen.
