I find myself feeling massively heavy with gratitude to share this conversation. A great storyteller braves ridicule and pain in the present to re-visit a severe moment in their past to become the veil between error and learning for the future well-being of others. Jordanne showed up to my studio as her typical self - a fantastic communicator, witty conversationalist, coherent listener, brave storyteller and an absolute joy to be around. She shines a bright light on her mistakes and shares her truths with whatever rawness comes with them. In this episode - Jordanne tells us about her search for rock bottom and what she found while there. We talk about her instant side effects to the birth control implant, her Penicillin allergy, suffering through C-Diff 4 times, a failed fecal transplant, rehabilitation and Motel 6. She tells us about the drinking, the in-and-out of hospital and fights with sobriety and relapse, sex trafficking and more Motel 6. Jordanne bravely opens up about rape, the meaning attached to sex, an unfortunate disconnect from the body, suicidal thoughts, visits to the ICU and mental health facilities. She shares her experience with homelessness, alcohol withdrawals, religion, healing, and light. I am grateful Jordanne is here to share her survivor story, and I am absolutely honored she was comfortable enough to share it with me and our listeners. Jordanne is a beautiful and courageous type of warrior. I'm happy to see her clean, sober and so full of life. Enjoy the episode and take care of yourself, listener - you are not your thoughts!
