In this episode, Elly is joined by Hannah Pretswell, Senior Test Engineer at Scott Logic. Hannah is a self-taught coder and started her tech journey working in gaming. She soon discovered she loved exploring and finding problems so testing seemed like a natural choice!
Hannah enjoys being pushed from her comfort zone and encourages people to explore CodeCademy and the CS50 course from Harvard if they're interested in coding!
She loves working with multiple clients and projects as it means she is never bored! Hannah and Elly explore what it's like to work at Scott Logic where they have such a strong market reputation and make diverse hires (something we love!)
Hannah is also a big supporter of the testing community and is a part of the Ministry of Testing meet-up in Newcastle. Elly also asks Hannah about her best bits of advice in her career so far which are don't get too hung up on doing the right thing and to learn something from an interview or experience!
