Geoffrey's Journey

Sripad Jagannath Das was born in Rochester, New York in the early afternoon of September 11, 1953. As a child, he experienced many spontaneous spiritual episodes centered around the realization of the reality of God, transmigration, and the soul.

Jagannath is a student of the five-thousand-year-old, non-sectarian Devotional Yoga path. At fifteen he began the serious practice of Bhakti Yoga as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the foremost exponent of the science of self-realization in the modern world.

Three years later he traveled to London to study with his master after spending time as a brahmachari (celibate student) in a Tampa, Florida ashram under Pusta Krishna Swami. At twenty-one, Jagannath traveled alone to India living in the beautiful village of Mala just outside Rishikesh and in Vrndavana Uttar Pradesh.

Following three years of intensive study and meditation, he made his way back to the United States where, under his secular name of Geoffrey Giuliano, he became the internationally best-selling author of over thirty-two books, one thousand audiobooks all about spirituality, yoga philosophy popular music and culture.

When he was thirty, he took formal initiation from His Grace Swami B. H. Mangal Maharaj in Toronto along with his wife Vrndarani Devi. Together they established a large country ashram, Krishna temple, food bank, recording complex, and animal sanctuary in Lockport, New York.

At the age of forty, however, Das began to slowly wind down his various business activities to fulfill the prophecy of his time in India and the wish of his spiritual masters the help spread the inspirational tenets of Bhakti in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition everywhere.

Jagannath then moved to Bangkok, where he became a popular film actor. In 2017, he established an audiobook company, Icon Audio Arts, which he runs today with his young son Eden Garrett Giuliano. They split their time between Thailand and India.
