If you love talking about cats, but your friends and family are kind of over it. This is the podcast for you. Join your hosts, Danielle Woolley and Elizabeth Gearhart on the Jersey podcasts where everyday cat lovers share funny stories, challenging situations and ask their questions about cats. All right, let's get right into this episode.

We started this week's episode with our guest, Karen Laos, introducing her cat Mojo who happened to hop in just as we were starting. She talks about why she calls him her redemption kitty. She shared some cat stories, as well as some of the really awesome things she is doing in the world empowering women.

Elizabeth shared why she invited Karen to be on this podcast is because she's got so much positive energy and she's so much fun to talk to and she has really great ideas also for communicating and making your point get taken the way it's supposed to. Her wealth of knowledge is profound. Elizabeth also shares a potential breakthrough with her cat Max.

Karen then talks to us about the day her cat went missing, how her husband brought to her attention how it was consuming her, and how that event led her to doing some personal development work and the lessons that came of it and how a few other experiences led her to her to Mojo. Dealing with a difficult person, who accused her of being a cat thief.

We talk about a book recommendation, The Body Keeps The Score by Bessel van der Kolk that Elizabeth and her husband saw the author speak.

Karen continued to share that things that hold us back that get in our way and that we every day have a choice when we get to choose how we act, how we think, how we feel. And I think that's also a really important thing to remember is that we all have the power of self agency. How faith comes into play. And Danielle shared how her at Cali came to find her, but then ditched her to become her husband's cat and after rambling for a bit, Karen pointed out that one of the things she helps people with is how to stop rambling and get to the point. She then shares how learning to negotiate at a flea market led her to her love for negotiating.

As you can see there were a lot of interesting topics covered and Karen is a joy to listen to, you'll have to watch to find out the rest including her being on a mission to eradicate self doubt in 10 million women in the next 10 years.
