Nnamdi Ngwe [@NnamdiNgwe] is a world class improviser, raised in the South and trained in Chicago.

Before performing in ensembles every night of the week, starting his own improv troupe (3Peat) and traveling around the country, Nnamdi (born to Nigerian parents) and his twin brother Amechi were soccer stars at the University of Alabama.

We discuss an artists's deep dissatisfaction despite success, transitioning from soccer to improv, diversity (lack of) in the Chicago comedy scene, what makes a bad improviser and just generally catch up. After all, Nnamdi, along with other Chicago revolutionaries in comedy, starred in a sitcom I had created and developed for ABC Family back in 2012.

It's a virtual homecoming.

Thanks Nnamdi.
