4.161 LITERACY: Reading: Use single pictures and a word

At Level 4 your child will turn the pages of a book and touch pictures consistently. They become more independent in using books, and have favorite items in books.

Today’s activity: Use books with one picture per page. Use one word or sound to comment on the picture. Call attention to the picture and comment. Wait for your child to take a turn, touching or commenting with a sound or word. Extend the conversation with more comments, depending upon your child’s interest.
