A person’s affect is how they feel and how they show their feelings. Engagement means how involved a person is in an activity.

You are building your awareness of how your child expresses their feelings and building their engagement with you.

Today’s activity: Hold your small child under their arms so you are looking face to face. Use their leg movements to help you bounce them up and down while you use engaging facial expressions, sounds and words.
