Dr. Lea Hernandez | Professor

Dr. Leandra H. Hernandez (Ph.D., Texas A&M University; she/her/ella) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication at Utah Valley University. She is also the Associate Academic Director of the UVU Center for Social Impact and the UVU DEI Fellow for Faculty Outreach. 

She enjoys teaching journalism, health communication, gender studies, and media studies courses. She is on the Board of Directors for the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance and is a co-organizer for the Salt Lake Area Queer Climbers (SLAQC) organization.
