Consensus: Guillermo Del Toro delivers a visually rich gothic fairytale, with twists, turns, and some very strange and goey ghosts... A dark and sinister tale manages to still feel whimsical with bright colours and a lot of red contrasting white and black. 
Recommended for horror-light and gothic romance fans.
