Happy September! We've officially begun spooky season and we're starting with a classic based off a classic horror novel. There have been many adaptations of this story over the years, including the newest Netflix TV series. However, it's always good to watch the original to see where it all started.
*Spoiler Alert* - Full synopsis and behind the scenes morcels included.
Scare-o-meter Ratings:
Tasha - 1.5 skulls
Julia - 3.5 skulls
Consensus: Definitely the first haunted house film that started it all, tropes and spooks galore. Slowly paced and in black and white, this film manages to create the perfect atmosphere to inspire generations of haunted house films. The premise is still quite similar.
Worth the watch, always have to see the OG.
