Join us for an in depth discussion and analysis of the 1979 Stephen King film adaptation of the Novel of the same name, Salem's Lot.
Directed by Tommy Lee Wallace
Starring: James Soul, James Mason, Lance Kerwin, Bonnie Bedelia
The third installment for our month of Stephen King film adaptations was a miniseries that aired on ABC in two parts totalling 3 hours and 12 mintutes.
*Spoiler Alert* - Full synopsis and behind the scenes morcels included.
Scare-o-meter Ratings:
Tasha - 3 skulls
Julia - 4 skulls
Consensus: A long winded miniseries that stayed fairly close to the book, however lacked depth in story and proved slow in pace until the climax. Character development fell a little flat in the adaptation and the Vampire Barlow although visually striking aged comically over the years.
Worth a watch for King and vampire fans, fell a little flat for us.
