This week we cover the first “monster of the week” episode of the incredibly influential, absolute classic of a tv show that is The X Files. Doug Hutchison guest stars as the monster who looks human but doesn’t seem to age, can contract and elongate his body though tiny spaces, and rips out livers with his bare hands. For X Files this episode is definitely more on the horror side than sci-fi but still a pretty easy watch if you’re a horror newbie. Plus it’s early in the series and we didn’t have to run though a million things about each character’s backstory. Minor spoilers for the series as a whole.
