Paul opens up his letter with a salutation that reminds the Christians that they are not only living in Colossae but they are also living in Christ. Both locales have responsibilities. He also encourages them of the certainty of Heaven waits for them in the future. 

The nice thing about this  letter is that we can find much personal application for our own lives. Listen carefully and see for yourself.
