We can do two things with our failures. We can deny them or we can admit them.  which one do you think has a better outcome? We find Jonah finally fessing up to his sin and why the great storm came upon them.
But in our own lives we must remember that all things are open and laid bare before the Lord. He sees all. So it is always in our best interest to be honest about our sins. He does give grace to the humble but He resists the proud who refuses to be honest.
