It's good to know that God is never surprised or lacks an answer. When King Saul disqualified himself from being king over Israel,  god knew way ahead of time who His choice would be. And though no one else expected a young teenager named David to be that choice, God knew he was the right one for the job.
Because God has a plan, this plan also includes you. Are you in it? Do  you want to be? You are not insignificant and God has something for you to do that has eternal rewards. Listen carefully and get on board with God's plan for your own persona life.
