Choosing the right homeschooling style is a journey in and of itself and it’s okay to take your time and try on a few and that’s going to mean trying things out and seeing how you like it over time and if you have to stop midway and shift direction its fine and in the long run - if you’re changing direction to better serve your family; it’s always going to be a great decision.
First you’re going to want to want to take some time to assess your child’s learning style a great way to do this is through Unschooling like we mentioned. Some things to think about are intentionally observing how they learn best, do they thrive in a structured environment or do they prefer exploration and discovery - this will help guide your choice.
Reflecting on your family family values and lifestyle is also a major factor when weighing out your options. Are you looking for flexibility, creativity, or a rigorous academic approach? Understanding what’s important to you and your family will also help you narrow down your choices.
Don’t be afraid to try different styles! You can always adapt and change as your family’s needs evolves. The beauty of homeschooling is that you get to do it your way!
