Estephanie recently wrote an article in the San Diego Union-Tribune that gave a snapshot of her life having been born in the Los Angeles area, moving to Tijuana as an infant, and navigating her education journey from elementary in Tijuana, then middle and high school in the United States, culminating in graduating from San Diego State University with a double major in English and Spanish.
