The Legend of Hell House is a 1973 supernatural horror film directed by John Hough, and stars Pamela Franklin as the mental medium Florence Tanner, Roddy McDowall as the physical medium Benjamin Franklin Fischer, Clive Revill as the physicist in charge of the investigation into the afterlife, and Gayle Hunnicutt as Ann Barret as the physicist's wife. Widely regarded as one of the scariest ghost films of its generations, The Legend of Hell House served as inspiration for numerous haunted house films to this day.
