Ben Monroe is no stranger to horror fiction, having written a number of frightful stories including a memorable contribution to Tales for the Campfire a charity anthology whose benefits were sent to the victims of the 2018 Camp Fire. Ben writes with the type of prose similar to Stephen King -- you can easily relate to his characters and follow a complex narrative -- which makes The Seething a standout novel. Outside of his recently published work we also talk about writing horror in the San Francisco Bay Area, his experience with the Horror Writer's Association, and the impact of working alongside fellow indie writers can have.
