Did you grow up believing that you had to fit in the picture of righteousness; holding it all together, mascaraing around with all the piousness- a well-bred Christian?  Did you feel like you had to hold it together and present a picture of perfection? Were you afraid of messing up, forgetting things, making mistakes? 

Me too. 

I spent my life serving fear; my righteousness being tied to perfection and a blameless presentation. 

Grace has made me a different person; but instead of being even more presentable as a blameless individual, my messes are forward facing and unashamed. I am more of a presentable mess today than I was when I lead a life as servant of pride and fear. Yet I have more joy and conviction is a friend that draws me into the arms of Grace; held, loved, so patient and persevering.
