Hey, Friends!

Today, as we approach the Christmas holiday, I wanted to reflect on the humble birth of Jesus and what it means for how we are to live and lead.

In the hustle, bustle, and commercialization of Christmas, I think it is important to stop and think about what we are truly celebrating.  It is a time to remind ourselves of the precious baby, born in a stable, placed in a manger, destined to become the Savior of the World, Emmanuel, God with us.

Jesus’ humble birth gives us a picture of God’s heart.  Jesus exemplified humility and God wants us to have a heart like Jesus.  Humility glorifies God.  To live a life in which we follow Jesus’ example, we must be prepared to sacrifice our own comfort, honor and prestige, in exchange for a life lived in service to God and others.

Jesus modeled humility from birth to death on the cross.

If we are living lives focused on Jesus, what does that mean for the path we find ourselves on?  What does it mean for example we are to set as wives, mothers, daughters, and leaders?

What Jesus’s birth, life and death tell us is that following Him will mean a path of humility.

I hope this episode blesses you and that you will continue to join me on this journey toward balance, peace, and freedom to live the abundant life you were called to.

Xoxo,

Tanya
