Streeps of Fire SPECIAL EPISODE: MERYL WEARS PRADA

Yes, we understand that this is technically our 102nd episode. Have you ever heard of a "soft opening" prior to a Grand Opening? That's what we're going with. THIS is our mammoth 100th episode!!

We decided to cook up something a little different for this landmark episode. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA was the Streep movie a ton of our friends wanted to talk about so we have a number of Prada segments this episode.

SEGMENT ONE 00:55: Our Season 8 Crew (Ken, Jack, Thomas and Andi) introduce things and do a little Streep Bingo before we move onto our amazing guests.

SEGMENT TWO 15:16: THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA BOOK REPORT W/THOMAS and SHANNON. Neither had seen the movie but they read the book and try to suss out what will change and what might change in the adaptation. 

SEGMENT THREE 44:12: SCOTTLYN W/ANDI AND KEN. The Devil Wears Prada is a fantastic movie for a young lady to watch. There are no negative stereotypes, women are shown as figures of awe, respect and hard work, men don't save the day and Meryl rules with almost insane levels of competency. What does a teenager think? Scottlyn is one and she will tell us!

SEGMENT FOUR 1:09:01: BOOK REPORT PART TWO: After Thomas and Shannon watch the movie, a discussion of what surprised them about the adaptation.

SEGMENT FIVE 1:27:52: SIBLINGS. Jack is joined by longtime favorite guest (and sibling) Annabel for a freewheeling, White Claw-fueled discussion of the movie.

SEGMENT SIX 2:01:50: MEG AND LEIGH. Two of our favorites, Leigh and Meg, have a lively discussion on the film with a few surprising takes.

SEGMENT SEVEN 2:17:35: Our regular hosts get into it about the movie. Plus Margaret Thatcher along with Sand & Sandal movies.

We had so much fun preparing this episode and it took a ridiculous amount of scheduling to get to talk to everyone for the deepest Devil Wears Prada talk you will ever need.  Seriously, why does everyone love this movie so much?
