Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Good, The Bad, and The What!? The show in which we discuss three films that we have deemed "good," "bad," or "what!?" within a subgenre, theme, motif, director or actor's filmography, and more!
On this episode, Ryan chose adaptations of popular television shows, starting with Brian De Palma's twisty, tightly-constructed 1996 adaptation of "Mission: Impossible," arguably the most successful television adaptation, given that it has spawned five sequels with Parts 7 and 8 currently filming. From there, we move from globe-trotting spy espionage to Hazzard County, Georgia to discuss Jay Chandrasekhar's utterly miserable and completely misguided 2005 adaptation of "The Dukes of Hazzard." Finally, we come back around to the world of espionage with Antoine Fuqua's atonal, comically-violent, yet bizarrely engaging 2014 adaptation of "The Equalizer."
