GBW #112: Black Christmases (1974 / 2019 / 2006)

Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Good, The Bad, and The What!? The show in which we discuss three films that we have deemed "good," "bad," or "what!?" within a subgenre, theme, motif, director or actor's filmography, and more!

This week, Ryan and Chris are joined once again by friend of the show ⁠Jordan Perry⁠ ("MILF Manor," "Shock Docs") to discuss all three iterations of "Black Christmas." We start with the 1974 Bob Clark classic, a film that is still terrifying, tense, and above all else, ushered in the contemporary slasher film as we know it. Then, as we go chronologically, we move into our "What?" with the first remake from 2006; a film that is not conventionally good, but is stylish, nasty, and somewhat entertaining. Finally, we discuss the second remake from 2019, one whose socially-conscious intentions are in the right place, but bungles the execution.
