This includes how he left most of his belongings in the US, and bought completely new clothes and belongings on arrival, how his love of beauty has evolved since his arrival a year ago (in 2021) and his new habits for a feeling of belonging.

I first met Lonny in 2020, when he visited Carl and I in the countryside of Fanadia. I was very taken by his obvious joy and excitement at the enormity of his new life. This is an upbeat and philosophical look at migration.
