From Migration to First Nations

MEET BERNI: Born and raised a British country girl before migrating to Australia to become a First Nations Ambassador and being adopted into the Ikuntji tribe of Central Australia. A journey that’s taken her through the heights of her career with a doctorate in biomedical science and genetics, being on the cutting edge of medical research and travelling the world. To losing her husband of 28 years to cancer and raising her two sons alone. Now fulfilling her husbands legacy as a key Ambassador for The Walk-A-While project and raising funds for one of the remotest locations in Indigenous Australia. Berni has developed a passion for red dirt. She’s got grit, determination and stamina and isn’t afraid to put aside her grief, throw on her gum boots, head off on adventures and get her hands dirty. If that isn’t enough, she never says no to a challenge and will soon be appearing on Channel 7’s Adventure All Stars.
