H. Richard Niebuhr said that liberals preach that, "A God without wrath brought men without sin into a Kingdom without judgment through the ministrations of a Christ without a Cross."  In this episode, we see that despite liberals making much of Jesus, it certainly isn't the Jesus who is ruling and reigning over the cosmos that they love, but rather a Jesus of their own making.
